Held is a 10 channel video installation. It visualises 'being-with' and 'being-together' after periods of social distancing. In ten videos, the artist affectionately embraces friends and family. We see two people holding each other tight, barely moving, appearing as statues upon a rotating stage. Close viewing of the videos reveals the artist and co-performer negotiating each other's bodies, adjusting proximity, posture and the entanglement of arms.

Held was commissioned by Monash Gallery of Art for "Stages: Photography Through the Pandemic" 2021.
